Lexi Ugelow is a lover, student and leader of vocal harmony and community singing. A songwriter, choir conductor, and alto, Lexi is active in many styles of singing including in groups such as Culomba, Levyosn, and Northern Harmony. Lexi is a choir director and song leader, leading the community choirs Sing Positive (JP) and Cabin Chorale (Somerville). She is currently in the process of releasing an album of original music, that heavily features vocal harmony, with themes of queer identity and relationship. When Lexi performs live, she always gets the audience singing. Her choir director hat may make an appearance on stage and the audience becomes the choir. This dropping of the fourth wall is what performance is about for Lexi: Everyone has a voice to contribute to the timbre of community. An in demand singing workshop leader, Lexi has been on staff at Pinewoods, Songroots, Augusta Heritage Center, Folklore Village, Agassiz Family Camp, and more.
