Mia Bertelli is a Maine-based vocalist, dancer, fiddler, educator and cross-genre seeker of beauty. As a vocalist, she is known for her artistry, her versatility, and her mellifluous, textured tone. As an artist and educator in any medium, she is known for her attention to detail, enthusiasm for things that make you feel stuff, and dedication to play. She traverses genres in search of sounds and stories that speak to something potent about the human experience, and renders them with her signature unguarded curiosity, vulnerability, and subtle mischievousness. From solo lilting for dancing to lush and soaring harmony, her music is rooted in the belief that music is alchemy and we are all its essential components. Whether on stages, in kitchens, or on boats, she seeks to nurture every creative impulse with deep listening and a willingness to fall in love with whatever is being made. She performs nationally and internationally with a rotating cast of collaborators, and teaches classes and ensembles in song, dance, and mixed instruments throughout the year.
